Daniel C and Clara L Krehbiel Scholarship
The Daniel C and Clara L Krehbiel Scholarship was founded in 1970 to support students a Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary (AMBS) as they prepare for ministry and leadership in the church. The scholarship provides funds to any student demonstrating financial need.
All qualified students are eligible to apply and will be considered. When applicants do not meet the preferred criteria, the scholarship may be awarded to other students who demonstrate financial need and alignment with the purposes of the fund.
As of June 30, 2025, the scholarship's market value was $7,089. The earnings are paid out annually to cover approximately 2% of tuition.

More about Daniel and Clara
Daniel Christian and Clara Leah Krehbiel were married in 1907. They began their life together in St. Louis, Mo., where Daniel was engaged in the retail mercantile business. In 1908, they moved the business and themselves to Reedley, Calif. Daniel later entered the banking industry. He was active in the community, serving as an advisor for SunMaid Raisin Growers and giving much time to help organize and build the Reedley Hospital. Both Daniel and Clara were active members of First Mennonite Church of Reedley. She was involved in the Sunday school ministry and held various offices with the Women's Missionary Society. He held various positions in the church. They also were active in the larger General Conference Mennonite Church. Clara served on the General Conference Women's Missionary Association. Daniel assisted in organizing the Mennonite Aid Plan of the Pacific District and served on the building committee and board of directors when Mennonite Central Committee built Kings View, a mental hospital in Reedley.
