More about Gerald and Cleo
The scholarship was established in 1999 from the estate of Gerald & Cleo Augspurger. As dedicated members of the Pulaski (Iowa) Mennonite Church, they were long time supporters of pastoral leadership. From the 1940s onward, visiting pastors almost always stayed in GW and Cleo's home. Additionally, when new pastors were called to the church - often their first pastorate - GW and Cleo became their closest friends, often offering them part-time work to assist with their meager salaries. These relationships never melted away.
